Q. What is the date, time and location of the Chocolate Tasting?

A. The 31st Annual Bisbee Chocolate Tasting, sponsored by the Friends of the Copper Queen Library, will be open for orders at <this link> from January 15, 2022 to January 30, 2022. You must order within that timeframe to receive your chocolates in time for Valentine’s Day.

Q. How do I order?

A. Go to <link>, which will take you to the Bisbee Chocolate Tasting store on the See’s website.

To ship to yourself or a friend, use the appropriate postal address. OLD BISBEE ADDRESSES: Please use the street address plus your PO Box as a hashtag. For example: 123 Main Street, #777, Bisbee, AZ 85603, to avoid extra shipping charges.

Q. What is the price of a ticket?

A. It’s free – no tickets this year – but be sure to order plenty of yummy chocolate – all profits to the Copper Queen Library!

Q. How are the proceeds from the Chocolate Tasting used?

A. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Copper Queen Library, who use the funds to pay for free year-round programming at our Library, which was named America’s Best Small Library in 2019. We fund children’s programs (such as the Summer Reading Program and Pre-School Reading Program), programming from the Arizona Humanities Council, book groups, Freewrite classes and other cultural events. And during the pandemic, our fantastic Library staff has offered hundreds of hours of free programming for children and adults, including craft kits, wellness kits, Zoom learning and story hours and so much more. Thank you for making those improvements possible!

  1. Can you share your chocolates with your kids or do they have to have a separate ticket?

    • Hi, Kyndra –

Each $10 ticket buys 6 pieces of chocolate and a box to carry them in. If you want to share those 6 pieces with your kids, that’s great – if you want them to have 6 pieces and a box of their own, that requires a separate ticket. Six pieces of really rich chocolate is a lot, though, so I would suggest splitting them up!

  2. Can tickets be purchased at the event? My girlfriend and I will be driving down from Tucson on Saturday and spending the evening in Bisbee, and we want to attend! However, I don’t know if same-day tickets will be available. Any help would be much appreciated!

    • Hi, Rebecca –

Thanks for checking in… unfortunately, it’s unlikely that anything at the tasting will be sugar free. Sorry – we wish we could accommodate everyone, but basically chocolate as we know it has at least a bit of sugar in it even if we don’t add any. I hope you understand and hope you can join us for another library event soon. Cheers!

  3. We’ll be in Bisbee for the month of Feb., but we have friends wanting to visit us while the Chocolate Tasting is on; which Saturday will it be held in 2020? Thanks much, Jo Lundblad, from Minnesota
